Happy Veterans Day

Thank you to all who served.

As a proud daughter of a USMC veteran today is very special to me. Many years ago we started a Veteran’s Day tradition to take our neighbors a treat to honor their service. From pie, to cookies, to handmade cards. What started out to shepherd my Children’s hearts became an opportunity to show the love of Christ. I wanted to teach my kids to focus on others, to raise grateful children, to always show respect. But having an excuse to approach a neighbor and show them an act of love blew any of my motives out of the water. Every holiday, every event, every celebration is a chance to share the Love of Jesus with those around us. Shifting from our normal daily routine to serve others has been such a blessing to all 8 of us. Everyday there are such easy and simple opportunities to let our Light Shine.
